There are no real hover cars in the world as of 2015. The closest thing to a hover car is the Terrafugia Transition; the vehicle is essentially a small plane that can also drive on roads. The Terrafugia Transition retails for about $270,000.
A Slovakian company called AeroMobil is also currently working on perfecting a car that can drive on land and also fly. The AeroMobil 3.0 goes on sale in 2017. Hover cars have been famously depicted in science fiction films such as "Star Wars" and "Star Trek." The 1989 film "Back to the Future Part II" also predicted that by 2015, hover cars would be a popular means of transportation.
