Customers can choose from approximately 2,000 cars at each location. Rather than keeping an inventory of parts, Pull-A-Part tracks the cars in storage that are available for salvage. Customers should be aware of which other cars may contain the part they need since not every car may be available at every location. Customer service members are also trained to look up parts and research what other cars may use that same part. Pull-A-Part's inventory is updated daily and allows computerized cross-referencing for quick searches on what's available.

Customers must be at least 16 years old to enter the yard and may not bring jacks or torches. Customers are not permitted to work on their vehicles on Pull-A-Part lots.

As of July 2015, Pull-A-Part has locations in Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas and Tennessee. In addition to selling used auto parts, Pull-A-Part pays instant cash for used cars and offers free towing for the vehicles it purchases.
