Full Answer

Begin programming a Toyota keyless entry by unlocking and opening all the doors of the car. Then, remove the key from the ignition. You must complete the process within a span of five seconds. This begins the sequence needed for reprogramming the computer of the vehicle.

When opening and shutting the door on the driver's side, do so within a span of 40 seconds. Beyond this time span, the system resets itself.

Now, place the key in the ignition, bring it to the On position from Lock, and cycle this process once to bring the system to the Add mode. Then, take out the key, and immediately press Lock and Unlock on the transmitter at the same time. Hold the buttons down for a period of 1 to 1 1/2 seconds and release.

Next, within a span of three seconds, press Lock again. This should cycle the lock of the door to the unlock position from lock. If the programming is done incorrectly, the lock cycles two times.

Complete programming the Toyota keyless entry by opening the door on the driver's side.
