The Honda CR-V gets a combined 29 miles per gallon from its 21-gallon fuel tank achieving a 444-mile-per-tank range and leads small-sized SUV sales in 2015 with 22,298 units sold between $23,445 and $32,895.
The Ford Explorer has sold 18,613 units in 2015 priced between $30,700 and $43,100. The Ford Explorer achieves 14 combined miles per gallon from its 18.6-gallon tank, and it has a range of 260 miles on a full tank of gasoline. The Explorer is the best-selling mid-sized SUV in America, as of March 2015.
The Chevrolet Tahoe is the best-selling full-size SUV in America, as it has sold over 7,410 units. The Chevy Tahoe has a 26-gallon fuel tank, and it gets a range of 338 miles at a combined 13 miles per gallon. Of these top three selling SUVs, the Honda CR-V has been awarded the best crash safety rating. Moreover, it was listed as superior by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
