In 2015 Hyundai released its first truck, the Santa Cruz, which is officially termed a "CUV" or "crossover utility vehicle." It features four doors, seating for five and an expanding truck bed. Hyundai Worldwide also produces commercial truck vehicles such as cargo trucks, dump trucks and tractor trucks.
Other utility vehicles in the Hyundai lineup are the Santa Fe, the Santa Fe Sport and the Tucson. Add-on trailer packages can add up to a 5,000-pound towing capacity. Some of their popular compact and family cars are the Accent, Elantra, Sonata and Sonata Hybrid. Hyundai vehicles are generally priced lower than their competitors.
Although Hyundai is a Korean company, over half of the vehicles sold in the United States are made in the United States. Their facilities in Alabama, Michigan and California provide approximately 5,000 jobs for American auto workers. They also employ over 38,000 more people at various dealerships and vendor locations throughout the country.
