Ducati motorcycles set a company sales record of 45,100 bikes in 2014, making them a fairly popular brand amongst bike consumers worldwide. The bike brand is becoming increasingly popular in Asia, netting 11 percent more in 2014 sales than the previous year.
Despite its record sales figures, Ducati saw a 14 percent decrease in sales for its local market in Italy. Globally, the bike is still quite popular, selling 19,743 units in Europe, 8,804 units in America and 5,787 units in Asia for the 2014 year.
The main factor in Ducati's 2014 popularity surge was changes to the Monster line of bikes. The Ducati Monster ended up selling 16,409 units globally, making up nearly one-third of the company's sales.
