The Honda Civic has consistently been one of the most popular cars in America, so there is little shortage of Civic Si models on the used market. Versions of the Si from the 1980s may be more difficult to find in good condition, however.
The Civic Si was introduced in 1985 as a high-performance version of the Civic CRX. The first iteration of the car was powered by an inline-four engine producing 91 horsepower, accelerating the 1985 Si from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than 9 seconds. In comparison, a current-generation 2015 Si gets over twice the horsepower from its engine and accelerates to 60 miles per hour in 6.8 seconds.
