To search for Department of Motor Vehicle locations in North Carolina, visit the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles’ website, NCDOT.gov, click on the Office Locations tab, enter a county, city or ZIP code. Click the magnifying glass icon to begin the search.
Alternatively, search for DMV locations by North Carolina county by choosing a county from the drop-down menu on the Office Locations page under the heading Search by County. The website also provides a map of North Carolina. Click on the county to pull up the location information for that county.
The DMV search tool provides information for various DMV offices including the headquarters, driver license and school bus offices and international registration plan offices. In addition, it provides information about the locations of License and Theft Bureau district offices and vehicle and license plate renewal offices.
The North Carolina DMV allows residents of North Carolina to access an array of services online without visiting a DMV location in person. A driver can apply for a driver’s license or permit, motorcycle license, or commercial driver’s license online.
