The 2015 Honda CR-V rides on the same platform as the previous model and has nearly the same design, but it does sport new features. Features include improvements in fuel efficiency, sensing systems and environmental safety.
The 2015 Honda CR-V has a 34 miles per gallon highway rating, and features a new 2.4-liter, Earth Dreams Technology 4-cylinder engine. With the upgraded engine, maximum horsepower can be reached at lower revolutions per minute than previous models. The new Eco Assist feature includes a button that automatically configures the engine and other car mechanics to operate in a more energy-conservative manner.
The 2015 C-RV sports the Collision Mitigation Braking System, technology that automatically stops the car if the system determines an accident with an upcoming object is unavoidable. This feature is made possible by a radar system mounted on the front grille.
The Lane Keeping Assist System keeps drivers in their lanes by automatically adjusting the steering wheel if an unauthorized lane departure is detected. This is also true if the driver tries to change lanes without a turn signal. Warnings and sounds alerting the driver of lane drift occur as well. Upgraded safety features include the rear view camera. The multi-angle camera helps the driver approximate the distance between his vehicle and the object behind it.
