What Are Some Facts About the National Oil Seal Cross?

The National Oil Seal company is now part of the Timken Company. The Timken Company continues making oil seals under the National name, and it has a team of manufacturers and engineers that design each seal.

The Timken Company has been around for over 100 years. Located in North Canton, Ohio, the company makes a number of different parts for various tools and equipment.

Since its founding, Timken has won numerous awards including the MTU Aero Engines Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul Supplier Award in 2012 and the John Deere Partner Level Supplier in U.S. and Europe award. In 2014, the company had total sales of over $3 billion and employed more than 14,000 people. As of 2015, Timken has a total of 63 plant and service centers, has 13 research, development and engineering centers and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

Timken manufactures parts for the aerospace, automotive, construction and defense industries as well as equipment and parts for power generation, heavy industry, positioning control and consumer products. In 2015, Timken was involved in many joint ventures, including those with CoLinx, S.E. Setco Service Company and Zhuhai Interlube Machinery Equipment Co.

Besides National, Timken manufactures products under its own brand names as well as under names such as Carlisle, Drives, Fafnir and InterLube.
