The National Bikers Roundup is a large motorcycle event that includes many motorcycle groups and is held annually in many different states. North Carolina serves as the 2015 host, and previous locations have included Kansas, Texas and Oklahoma.
The National Bikers Roundup was originally held in Kansas City in 1977 and included primarily African-American motorcycle clubs. Every ten years, the event returns to its home city, but in between, other cities host the event. Motorcycle clubs campaign for their home city to serve as the next location, and participants vote on the last day of the event to decide the winner. Over 1,000 motorcycle clubs and many major motorcycle company representatives attend the event. As of 2015, the event lasts five days and includes activities such as camping, exhibits and stunt shows.
