As of 2015, the Lamborghini Urus' expected release date is 2016 with an estimated price tag range of $150,000 to $200,000. The Urus is Lamborghini's second off-road model, the first was the LM002, which came out in the 1980s.
The Urus is slated to be Lamborghini's first SUV. Car enthusiasts expect that the powertrain is either an Audi-derived 4.0 liter or a twin-turbo V-8. The Urus can also employ a hybrid variation or a diesel V-8. Other front runners in the industry are Bentley, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Land Rover, all set to release supercharged and turbo model SUVs around the same time.
