The Suzuki Hayabusa, also known as the GSX1300R, began its stock construction with 175 horsepower, but later models upped this to 194 hp beginning in 2008. The upgraded engine in the second generation of Hayabusa motorcycles allows for greater power with the same internal volume.
The GSX1300R began production in 1999 using a 1,299 cc engine that made it one of the most powerful bikes at the stock level. The second generation began with the 2008 model year, and it featured an engine that made more efficient use of the same volume for an increase in horsepower. The increased power-to-weight ratio noticeably increased the rush of the acceleration.
