The Toyota Corolla is a compact sedan that is powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine in all but one of its 2015 trim levels that produces 132 horsepower and 128 foot-pounds of torque. Front-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission are standard.
The 2015 Toyota Corolla is the latest model in the Corolla series, which is the best-selling car model of all time as of 2015 when including all of its iterations. Features included on the base Corolla L trim include 15-inch steel wheels, anti-lock brakes, traction control, stability control and a four-speaker CD sound system. The LE trim adds larger 16-inch wheels, keyless entry, a touchscreen six-speaker infotainment system and a rear-view camera. LE Plus models substitute alloy wheels for the steel wheels of lower trims, and adds the option for the Driver Convenience package, while LE Premium models include all of the above features with premium vinyl upholstery and a power driver seat.
Most of the Toyota Corolla trims have very similar performance, but the LE Eco and S trims have additional features that alter their performance relative to other trims. The LE Eco has a version of the standard Corolla engine tuned for additional efficiency that also produces 8 more horsepower than the standard engine, while the S trim adds rear disc brakes in place of the standard drum brakes to improve braking performance.
