The 2014 Ford F-150 is a full-size pickup truck whose main feature is its large array of customization options, among the largest of any major truck model in 2014. The F-150 offers optional four-wheel drive, a choice of four engines and regular, extended and crew cabs.
The 2014 Ford F-150 offered buyers the option of outfitting their truck with a 3.7-liter V6, a 5-liter V8, a 6.2-liter V8 or a turbocharged 3.5-liter V6, which is one of Ford's EcoBoost engines. The EcoBoost engine produced more power than the 5-liter V8 engine while achieving better fuel economy; these engines produced 365 and 360 peak horsepower and 420 and 380 foot-pounds of torque, respectively. The naturally aspirated V6 option for the F-150 produced 302 horsepower and 278 foot-pounds of torque, while the larger 6.2-liter V8 generated 411 horsepower and 434 foot-pounds of torque.
In addition to multiple cab sizes, the Ford F-150 offered multiple truck-bed sizes, with 6.5- and 8-foot truck beds available on standard and extended-cab, SuperCab models and 5.5 and 6.5-foot beds available on SuperCrew trucks. The 2014 F-150 also came in multiple trims, the most notable of which was the SVT Raptor edition, which used the 6.2-liter V8 engine and was optimized for off-road performance and racing.
