As of December 2015, the Lia Auto Group does not offer any Kia car models. The Lia Kia dealership in Northampton, which opened in 2013, closed unexpectedly in June 2015. An employee who works at the corporate offices of Kia stated that the company closed the dealership to study the market to ensure that the needs of the customers in the area are met.
Kia advises customers to refer to the dealer locator on Kia.com to find their nearest dealer. Dealers close to Northampton include Fathers & Sons Kia of West Springfield on Memorial Avenue, which is 16 miles away from the city, and Gary Rome Kia in Enfield, which is 22 miles away.
The Lia group offers cars from companies such as Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Honda. Dealerships for cars from companies such as Hyundai, Toyota, Nissan, Volkswagen and Infiniti are also provided. The website of the auto group allows users to browse new vehicles, pre-owned vehicles or certified vehicles. Users also have the option to determine the current value of their vehicle.
South Korea's Hyundai Motor Company partially owns Kia. According to its corporate website, Kia has sold cars in the United States since 1994. The company manufactured hand-crafted bicycle parts after it was founded in 1944.
