To join the Honda Goldwing Owners Club of Great Britain, fill out the membership application form provided on the club's website and return it to its membership office. Applicants must either ride or own a Goldwing motorcycle of any model and pay a yearly subscription fee to become a full member. Social memberships to the club are also available for applicants who do not currently won a Goldwing, and it provides the same access to full membership discounts.
Members of the Honda Goldwing Owners Club of Great Britain receives various perks, including an automatic subscription to a monthly online magazine from regional branches of the club. Members also receive access to the members' forum, discount rates at both British Treffen and Wing Dings, as well as access to various regional events, such as social evenings, weekend camping and run-outs. The club provides its members with a help guide that contains details of members around the country who can be contacted for help. Only full members of the Honda Goldwing Owners Club receive a GWEF card and have voting rights.
The Honda Goldwing Owners Club of Great Britain launched on May 18, 1980, and was attended by 37 Goldwing owners. The club's beginning was inspired by Harry Ward's visit to the Belgium Gold Wing Club in April 1980.
