The Isuzu Elf is a medium-duty truck that is more commonly referred to as an N-series truck in the United States. It has a cab with a flat-nosed van appearance and is often equipped as a box truck.
Isuzu first produced the Elf in 1959. It is only known by the name Elf in Japan, Mexico and Indonesia. As of 2006, the truck has had five generation changes and can now be found in over 100 countries. Nations where the truck has been produced outside of Japan include Australia, Colombia and the United States. General Motors produces the Elf under the name W-series and N-series within the United States. While the most common use of the truck is for cargo, Indonesians have modified it for use as a microbus.
