Full Answer

John Deere manufactured the Sabre line of lawn tractors between 1995 and 2002. The company also marketed its product line under the Scotts brand name, and offered the merchandise in stores such as Sears and Home Depot. Models ranged from the 14-horsepower 1438HS with a 38-inch deck, to the 25-horsepower J2554HV with a 54-inch deck. Deere & Company ended production of the Sabre in 2003, and substituted the Deere L100 series for the economy-priced tractors.
