Infiniti is a luxury vehicle line manufactured by Japan-based Nissan Motor Company. The line was introduced in 1990 in an effort to fill the upscale market niche not yet accessed by mainstream Nissan models.
Infiniti entered the market with two vehicles, the Q45 sedan and the M30 coupe/convertible. Infiniti quickly added more vehicles to its line-up as its popularity grew through the 2000s. As of January 2015, Infiniti offers a range of luxury sedans, coupes, convertibles, SUVs, crossovers and hybrid models.
Infiniti's parent company, Nissan, was founded in Japan in 1933. As of January 2015, the company manufactures almost 30 vehicle models.
