Like most automobile manufacturers, Honda has recalled millions of car units throughout the years. Honda issued its latest recall in March 2015, affecting thousands of units of 2015 Honda CR-V and 2014-2015 Honda Accord cars with four-cylinder engines. The automaker recalled the units to replace the engine short block.
In a research conducted by iSeeCars.com, Honda placed third as the automaker with the highest recall rates in 2014. The data stated that the Japanese auto manufacturer has recalled nearly 2.8 million car units since 1980. Another ongoing recall being conducted by the American Honda Co. is the Takata airbag recall that started in October 2014. The recall affected not only Honda, but several other car manufacturers in the United States.
