GM Global Connect is a web interface that allows GM dealerships to use crucial dealer applications and receive communications from GM. The site is protected by log-in information and is meant to be used by GM dealers only.
There are numerous applications available on the GM Global Connect interface. Some of these applications provide resources for ordering the things that dealerships might need, such as car parts, used car inventory and digital signage. Dealerships are able to see the status of their fleet orders on a page entitled Fleet Order Status. The communications side of the interface has dealership webcast communications, as well as a center of learning. Another interesting aspect of the GM Global Connect interface is the link to the GM Green Dealer Program page. This program focuses on sharing eco-friendly sustainability initiatives that dealerships have started independently, as well as serving as a forum for recognizing dealers that have made a difference by being involved in a green initiative. Several dealerships are called out on this website for being Green Dealers, including Davis Chevrolet, Davidson Auto Group and two dealerships in LaFontaine, Michigan, as of 2015. Both GM Global Connect and the GM Green Dealer Program provide GM a way to reach out and collaborate with their dealers across the country and the world.
