A Freightliner motorhome chassis is a physical motorhome frame built by Freightliner Custom Chassis to suit the specifications and requirements of different motorhomes. The name for this chassis line is XC series, and it has been in production for nearly 20 years.
Freightliner Custom Chassis claims that most luxury motorhome manufacturers prefer its XC series chassis, and more than 78 percent of all Class A diesel motorhomes feature the XC. The chassis features Cummins engine offerings that allows it to support different torque and horsepower ratings. The frame rails of the chassis are available in different configurations to meet the requirements of manufacturers. For front suspension, customers can choose either a standard I-Beam or a ZF independent front suspension.
