Ford issued a recall in November of 2014 on 202,241 Ford F-150 pickup trucks. This recall is the most recent Ford F-150 recall as of February 2015, according to Edmunds.com. The recall stems from non-deployment of the vehicle’s passenger-side airbag during frontal crashes.
According to Ford, the defect causing the deployment issue may increase the risk of injury during frontal crash situations when adults are seated in the passenger seat. Ford owners can return the vehicle to any Ford dealership to have the problem remedied.
The fix involves widening the gap between the seat track assembly and the manual seat frame, followed by calibration of the seat occupant classification system.
