The Louisville Assembly Plant, where the Escape is has been manufactured from 2013-2015, opened in 1955 and employs about 4,750 people. There are no plans at present to move the Escape manufacturing to another plant.
From 2001 until 2012, the Ford Escape was made at the Ford Kansas City Assembly Plant, located in Claycomo, Missouri. This plant employs approximately 5,148 people and opened in 1951.
