Ford did not release a new Bronco in 2015, and Ford stated that rumors of a 2016 Ford Bronco were false. The 30-year history of the Ford Bronco helped it attract a large fan base, and rumors of a new Bronco sometimes circulate.
Ford released the first Bronco in 1966, which featured a small wheelbase that provided excellent maneuverability; however, it lacked in terms of towing power. In 1978, Ford released a new Bronco based on a shortened version of the Ford F150. In 1996, ford ceased production of the Bronco. While the Bronco remains popular among fans, it's also infamous for its role in the O.J. Simpson car chase in 1994.
