For the 2014 model year, the Mazda2 in Sport trim comes with air conditioning, power windows, mirrors and locks, traction control, six airbags, and a four-speaker, MP3 compatible sound system. The car comes with a 1.5 liter, four-cylinder engine that produces 100 horsepower and 98 foot-pounds of torque. It is a front-wheel drive car and comes standard with a 5-speed manual transmission that customers can upgrade to a 4-speed manual. As of October 2015, Mazda does not manufacture the Mazda2.
The 2014 Mazda2 Sport has comfortable seats and attractive styling and handles well. Additionally, its 5-speed manual transmission is one of the best on the market, and it has open interior that does not feel as cramped as customers might expect from the car's size, according to Kelley Blue Book.
The Sport trim level is the lowest option for the 2014 Mazda2. The higher-level Touring trim adds extra style features, including red accents on the seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, alloy wheels, a spoiler and two extra speakers for the sound system. The Touring trim also adds functional features such as cruise control, a trip computer, steering wheel buttons for audio and cruise control, and fog lights. Outside of the two trim packages, Mazda offers standalone options that include a cargo net, center armrest, auto-dimming mirrors and Bluetooth connectivity.
