As of 2015, some features of the Harley Davidson Street Glide include a high output twin cam 103 engine, a six-speed cruise drive transmission, a 6-gallon fuel tank, electronic cruise control and Harley Davidson's Project Rushmore styling. The features on this bike make it popular for street or long-distance driving.
The Harley Davidson Street Glide features a high output twin cam 103 engine that features an integrated oil cooler. The engine is capable of up to 1690 cc. The bike's six-speed transmission is programmed with an isolated drive system with smooth acceleration to ensure highway engine speed is reduced. The Street Glide contains a 6-gallon fuel tank and averages 40 miles per gallon. It also features electronic cruise control, which includes the options to set, resume, accelerate and decelerate.
Harley Davidson designed the street guide with Project Rushmore styling. On the bike's chrome tank console, there is a large, full-color, touch screen computer. Switches on the console have been designed to be within finger's reach to prevent the driver from having to move his hands from the grips. Music, phone and GPS features are all voice-activated. Three-way, bi-amped speakers deliver sound both to the front and rear of the motorcycle.
