A disc brake kit provides all required parts to completely replace the existing brake parts. A standard disc brake kit contains two rotors, two calipers, two sets of pads and all required plates and hardware.
Brake kits are not commonly sold for disc brakes, as the most common replacement part is just the brake pads, which can be purchased separately. More commonly a drum brake kit is sold, which provides the necessary hardware to replace the pin and spring system within the drums. In the event a complete brake job is required on a disc brake setup, whether it be seized calipers, distorted rotors or nonexistent brake pads, brake kits provide the necessary hardware to replace the entire braking system for the specified vehicle.
