Detailing a car, regardless of its size, involves cleaning the interior and exterior of the vehicle using a variety of cleansers and polishes. Detailing often involves vacuuming the inside of the vehicle and disposing of any trash.
Many other tools and products can be used to completely detail a car, including terry cloth towels, cotton rags, canned air, upholstery and carpet stain cleaners. Surface protectors for vinyl and leather interiors can also be used to protect against damage caused by exposure to sunlight. As part of the detailing process, the carpets are vacuumed and treated with stain remover, and all surfaces of the vehicle are wiped down with cleaners.
