Some major car rental companies, such as Hertz and Avis, offer mini-lease programs. Mini leases are commonly used for consumers who are visiting from out of town or those who are looking for a vehicle for more than two months.
Each car dealership has its mini leases available for certain periods. Avis, for example, offers its mini lease for those who need a vehicle for at least two months. Along with its standard monthly payment plan, Avis offers several features. These include a lower pay program that lessens the costs the longer the car is leased. A wide selection of vehicles for the consumer to choose from and access to the Avis roadside assistance program are also available.
Hertz has a mini lease program starting at two months as well. Features from Hertz include access to more than 2,000 locations throughout the United States. Hertz has a large selection of vehicles from which to choose, all of which are late models. Renters that use Hertz also have the ability to switch the vehicle they are driving to something new whenever it pleases them to do so. Unlike leases from dealerships that have expensive mileage limitations, there are none at Hertz. The vehicles are also available to rent for one-way trips.
