In June of 2012, Cooper Tire & Rubber Company recalled two tire sizes of the Cooper Discoverer H/T brand, including the LT235/85R16 and P265/70R17 tires. Over 10,000 tires were recalled because of potential tread separation issues.
Cooper Tire & Rubber Company started contacting customers who bought the affected tires on June 15, 2012. The recall number is 156, and the faulty tires were manufactured between December 11 and 17, 2011, and January 1 and 7, 2012 in Arkansas. Cooper Tire & Rubber Company stated it would replace the tires, balance them and mount them free of charge. It did not mention whether any accidents had occurred due to these tires.
