Nationwide car rental companies Budget, Alamo, AVIS, National and Sixt advertise the Jeep Wrangler as part of their SUV rental fleets. Sixt's Jeep range also includes the larger Jeep Compass and Jeep Liberty. All rentals are subject to availability, and the companies may substitute similar rental vehicles.
Budget's website includes the Jeep in its Reservable Models range, which allows a customer to choose a specific car brand online, enter pick-up location and dates, check availability and make a reservation. Alamo, AVIS, National and Sixt offer a similar reservation service for their Jeep rentals that enables a customer to bypass the standard online reservation system that displays all available vehicles across a range of brands and models. To rent a Jeep, the driver must be at least 25 years old.
All of the rental Jeeps are four-wheel drive vehicles with automatic transmissions suitable for off-road use, steep tracks, and muddy, wet or snowy roads. The two- and four-door Jeep Wrangler models both seat up to four people. The larger Jeep Compass, which has five doors and seats five people, has a fuel efficiency of 30 miles to the gallon, making it suitable for long journeys. The Jeep Liberty, which also seats five people, has a 210-horsepower V-6 engine and 20-gallon fuel tank, making it suitable for towing.
