Harley-Davidson has the Tri-Glide Ultra, which has one front wheel and two rear wheels. On the other hand, The Polaris Slingshot has two front wheels and one at the back, giving it the look of a low-stance sports car.
On its website, Polaris clarifies that the Slingshot is not an automobile. Therefore, it does not have airbags and does not meet automobile safety standards. Canadian vehicle manufacturer BRP also created the two-front-wheeled motorcycle Can-Am Spyder. Other three-wheeled motorcycles include Honda's Gyro Canopy, Piaggo's MP, Peugeot's Metropolis, Toyota's i-Road and Yamaha's Tricity. All of these have two front wheels. Some three-wheeled motorcycles are powered by scooter engines, such as the 125 cc Yamaha Tricity, while high-powered ones like the Polaris Slingshot run on a 2.5 liter DOHC engine.
