Toyota's are most commonly outfitted with Group 35 and 24F batteries. Toyota's luxury line, Lexus, features vehicles with batteries sizes from Group 24F and 27F.
A battery group size is an industry-standard assigned by the Battery Council International, BCI, that identifies both the physical dimensions of a car battery and the polarity. The group size of a battery is printed on the battery label.
Knowing the group size of a particular vehicle battery is especially important when replacing a battery to ensure that a battery stays secure in a vehicle's battery tray. If an incorrect group size of battery is installed in a vehicle, complications such as sparks, vehicle shorts or even fires can occur.
