Many problems surrounding the Ford Edge pertain to the system providing GPS navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. While some reviewers reported issues with the sunroof and the red wrench on the dash light system that makes the vehicle stop adding RPM, those are more isolated incidents than the communication system.
The Ford Sync system allows voice-activated control of a number of different apps, including GPS navigation and Bluetooth technology. With the Ford Edge, this system went out at inconvenient times for quite a few consumers, including instances when the navigation system would stop in the middle of a trip. For several of these users, the dealer was unable to provide a repair, and the users are simply waiting out the end of a lease.
