Some common problems of the 2010 Nissan Rogue are electrical system problems and GPS navigation system problems for which Nissan has issued recall notices. Other common problems are engine and transmission problems, as reported to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The electrical system problems were electrical shorts in the harness connectors that were caused when snow and salt seeped through the carpet on the driver's side. The electrical shorts may cause vehicle fires. The recall affected about 468,815 vehicles, which included the 2010 Nissan Rogue model.
The GPS system problems were caused by the GPS system's batteries, which could overheat and cause a fire. Garmin, the maker of the GPS systems, inserted a spacer on top of the batteries to solve the problem. The recall affected close to 8,000 vehicles.
