The U.S. Sailboat Show draws close to 600 exhibitors and boat builders including Jeanneau America, NEWCOAST Financial Services, Alpha Yachts, the Moorings U.S.A. and Kansas-based Garmin USA, which manufactures marine GPS and navigational equipment. International exhibitors include Sailmon, Hong Kong Sail Makers and Hydrovane International Marine.
With its roots in 1950s France, Jeanneau is known worldwide for its prestige yachts, sailboats and powerboats. Sailmon is an Austrian company that produces high-end sailing instruments and high-performance instruments designed specifically for racing boats and premium and super yachts. Hydrovane International, based in British Columbia, Canada, designs self-steering mechanisms, emergency rudders and watermakers, which are devices that desalinate water. Another international exhibitor is the French maker of catamarans and motor yachts, Fountaine Pajot.
Exhibitors from the United States include the IYRS School of Technology and Trades, Rhode Island, which teaches marine trades and technology; Arid Bilge Systems out of Florida; and the Sailbag Lady from Madison, Connecticut, which sells custom flags, banners and burgees. Local Annapolis exhibitors, include Weems and Plath, producer of clocks, barometers and weather instruments; Annapolis Performance Sailing, which markets Musto foul weather gear; and Atlantic Cruising Yachts.
The 2015 U.S. Sailboat Show, held at City Dock, Annapolis, Maryland, opens with its VIP Day on October 8 and concludes at 5 p.m. October 12.
