What Are Some Common Dodge Steering Problems?

Some common Dodge steering problems include pump failure in the power steering system, steering noises, steering wheel vibrations, poor steering and mechanical problems. These problems are commonly seen in Dodge vehicles made in 1994 or later.

Dodge drivers have reported problems with the vehicles power steering. Pump failure occurs more often than it should when the vehicle is exposed to colder weather. In the 2001 model, the power steering has been reported to completely go out in some vehicles.

Many drivers have reported problems with noises and thumps that occur during steering. The 1999 models sometimes produce a honking noise when steering that can only be fixed by replacing the steering wheel. Other drivers have reported clicking noises, thumps while turning or a rattle caused by loose bolts from the front suspension.
