Popular Chevrolet car models produced as of 2015 include the Spark, Malibu, Camaro, Impala and Corvette. Chevrolet also produces the Volt, a series-electric hybrid car that can run on both electric power for short distances and its gasoline engine for longer trips, as well as an all-electric Spark EV model.
Chevrolet's smaller cars in its 2015 product line are the Spark hatchback and the similar Sonic hatchback along with the Cruze sedan. The Sonic is slightly larger than the Spark and has a turbocharged engine option rather than the EV version offered on the Spark. The Chevrolet Malibu, Impala and Volt are the mid-size and full-size sedans in Chevrolet's lineup. Chevrolet anticipates offering the Malibu in a hybrid version as of the 2016 model year, though the Malibu hybrid does not have the ability to run solely on electric power like the Volt does.
The Chevrolet Camaro and Corvette coupes and convertibles, along with the SS sedan, comprise Chevrolet's performance vehicles. The Camaro and Corvette both offer a wide range of high-performance engine options, ranging from the 2-liter, 275-horsepower turbocharged engine used in the base Camaro to the 650-horsepower supercharged V8 powering the Corvette Z06. The SS sedan is powered by a 415-horsepower naturally-aspirated V8 motor.
