According to the Consumer Reports website, the BMW i3 Giga is, as of July 2015, the most fuel-efficient car on the market. Other fuel-efficient cars include the Mitsubishi i-MiEV SE and the Ford Focus Electric. Each of these cars gets over one hundred miles to the gallon.
The most fuel-efficient cars, according to a 2015 Consumer Reports study, use a combination of traditional gasoline and electric power. Some of these cars are able to exceed one hundred miles per gallon in fuel efficiency. The most fuel-efficient car that is powered by only gasoline is the Ford C-Max Energi, which has an overall fuel efficiency of 37 miles per gallon when running on gasoline alone.
