Car frame damage is created from collisions with other vehicles and appears on the main structural support in the chassis of the automobile. Depending on the severity of the damage, it may not be able to be repaired, which results in the a car having to be labeled as totaled.
If there is damage on a car's frame, the geometry of the chassis will never be the same. Because of this, the vehicle will have issues being driven and may cause some of the suspension components to wear down prematurely. However, damage that can be repaired is done so with large machines that can stretch out the frame of the vehicle with use of lasers.
