Lists of the year's cheapest new cars can often be found on money or car sites such as AutoTrader.com or Forbes.com. Car review sites such as Edmunds.com or MotorTrend.com can also be used to sort cars by a particular feature, including price.
AutoTrader.com created a list of the cheapest new cars for 2014 that included the Nissan Versa, the Chevrolet Spark, the Mitsubishi Mirage and the Smart Fortwo Pure. The list continued with the Kia Rio, the Ford Fiesta and the Chevrolet Sonic. Forbes.com offered a similar list for 2014, though it is formatted as a slideshow rather than a single list.
On Edmund.com, the user can sort cars by price and other features. Under the "New Car" category, Edmund.com has an option to show cars priced under $15,000, which provides all the cheapest new cars. On MotorTrend.com, users can sort cars similarly. Doing so lists many of the same cars noted in the AutoTrader.com list, even for 2015, though a few more options show up. MotorTrend.com also lists the 2015 Nissan Versa as well as the 2015 Hyundai Accent. After a price range has been selected, the user can narrow the results by features such as make, body type, class and gas mileage.
