Official Spanish language DMV forms can usually be obtained in person at a state DMV office or online through the state DMV website. In many states, the Department of Motor Vehicles only produces a few documents in Spanish as of 2015, as the official forms must be in English.
Some of the documents that the Oregon DMV offers in Spanish include the "Oregon Drivers' Manual," the "What to Expect on Your Drive Test" booklet and the "Oregon Identification Requirements." Although Oregon offers a few documents in Spanish, the majority of the official forms are only in English. The California DMV follows a similar pattern, as the only foreign language documents available are informational, while the official forms are generally only available in English.
North Carolina and New York are two states that provide both DMV information and official forms in Spanish. Some of the Spanish DMV forms offered by the State of New York include the Application for a Duplicate Title and the Application for a Driver's License or Non-Driver ID Card. Many of the Spanish DMV forms provided by the State of North Carolina are related to driving violations, such as the disqualification of a commercial driver's license or an insurance lapse hearing.
