The Mercedes-Benz C 200 was a model from the second generation of the C-Class line of cars. Built from July 2000 to December 2006, the C 200 was designated as production run W203 by Daimler AG, the multinational German automobile manufacturer that owns the Mercedes-Benz brand as of 2015. The W203 line was assembled in Germany, Brazil, South Africa, India, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia, based on designs by Bruno Sacco and Peter Pfeiffer. It featured three body style options: a two-door coupe, a four-door sedan and a five-door station wagon.
Prior to the W203 line, the W202 series of the C-Class was produced between 1993 and 2000 as the successor of the Mercedes-Benz 190 class. It was built in two body style configurations, either as a four-door sedan or a five-door wagon. After the W203 line, Mercedes-Benz produced the W204 run from 2007 to 2014, updating body and wheelbase features in response to consumer demands. At the end of the W204 run, Daimler AG announced the fourth generation of the C-Class, the W205, which is featured in automobiles beginning with model year 2015.
