It is possible to paint a dashboard to customize the interiors of a new or older car. Choose paints that complement the existing vehicle interiors, or opt for contrasting shades for a completely customized dashboard.
Carefully remove the dashboard prior to painting and disassemble it. Clean the parts to be painted and dry them thoroughly. Mask off sections that will not be painted, and roughen the surface to be painted so that the paint adheres better. Always handle all paint jobs in a well-ventilated room.
Start off with a primer and, follow up with spray paint once the primer dries. Top off the paint with a clear coat, and reassemble the dashboard to complete the job.
