Cars.com lists American-made cars based on where parts are made, where vehicles are assembled and the percentage of U.S. sales. The 2015 list has seven vehicles.
The Cars.com list of American-made cars is based on the site's American-Made Index. The first five cars on the list are Toyota Camry, Toyota Sienna, Chevrolet Traverse, Honda Odyssey and GMC Acadia. Buick Enclave and Chevrolet Corvette round out the list, marking the first time in nine years that the list contains fewer than 10 vehicles.
The American-Made Index requires cars to use at least 75 percent domestic-made parts to make the list. Therefore, even though production is on the rise, with 101 models assembled in the United States in 2015, the list of American-made cars is at its lowest.
