Prospective customers find Freightliner dealers that sell new trucks through the dealer locator portal on the manufacturer's website, as of March 2015. Individuals in the United States limit the search by state on a drop-down menu and click Search.
The drop-down menu method produces a list of dealers below a virtual map of the state. Users filter a search by clicking checkboxes next to Sales, Service, Parts or ServicePoint directly underneath the map view. Customers also limit searches by four different types of premium services offered by dealerships. Each dealer's individual listing includes the company name, address, phone number and services offered. Individuals click See Details, or the dealer's name, to view information such as a zoomed-in map, dealer hours, driving directions and the dealer's official website.
Users who click on View All United States Locations see a list of clickable links for all 50 states and some major metropolitan areas. When someone clicks on a state or metro area, the basic dealership listing appears on the screen with the same options as the drop-down search. Customers locate Canadian and international dealers from the main dealer locator page.
Consumers find new trucks for sale using the New Truck Locator function on the Freightliner website. Potential truck owners select several options down the left side of the page and click Search to find specific trucks for sale.
