The Hyundai Roadside Assistance program comes with five years of unlimited roadside assistance available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days a year as of 2015. Coverage includes such services as towing and assistance with such issues as flat tires, empty gas tanks and dead batteries.
The unlimited coverage of the Hyundai Roadside Assistance program is also available for an unlimited number of miles. Cars that need to be towed are towed to Hyundai dealerships and authorized service facilities. Instead of only providing this service for warranty-related breakdowns, Hyundai also provides towing services for such things as accidents and breakdowns not covered by warranty. The program also comes with a "trip interruption" reimbursement policy, in which Hyundai promises to reimburse drivers for any meals and room accommodations they purchase due to a warranty-related mechanical breakdown that occurred away from home.
Hyundai sometimes offers Enhanced Roadside Assistance free of charge for limited amounts of time when customers first sign up for the regular roadside assistance program. The enhanced feature includes a button provided by Connected Care that's attached to the rearview mirror that allows customers to receive assistance simply by pressing it rather than needing to call a phone number.
The program has certain limitations, including not offering coverage for off-road trips. The program is also a simple roadside assistance program rather than an insurance policy, which means that it does not offer coverage for parts and labor.
