An auto headliner is the cloth material that makes up the ceiling inside the cabin of a vehicle. Headliners are pre-cut to fit around the vehicle's light fixtures, sun visors and other accessories.
Headliners vary in style according to the type of vehicle. Older vehicles used what were called bow styled headliners. These pieces were generally sewn together. Newer vehicles make use of a standard cloth headliner board made from a layer of foam that has a thin layer of fabric glued on-top of it. Car owners can also make their own customizable headliners to suit their tastes by taking different colored fabrics and gluing them onto their headliner board.
